Our organization recognizes two governing bodies for league play: CJYSA league, affiliated with NJYS; and USCL league affiliated with US CLUB Soccer. This means, teams participating under CJYSA must use USYSA affiliated passes, and those participating under USCL must use US CLUB passes.

Teams registered in states outside of New Jersey will be given a USCL schedule only unless they wish to declare our league as their primary league for USYSA state cup qualifying. Teams registered in states outside of New Jersey have the option of participating in CJYSA, if they wish to declare our league as their primary league for their own USYSA State Cup qualifying.  Not all states permit teams to qualify in leagues outside of their own state. Teams must check with their state associations as to the governing rules.  We know Pennsylvania, Delaware, and Maryland teams are permitted, by their USYSA State Association, to use our league for their state cup qualifying.  New York teams must qualify in a New York league. See information below on qualifying in New York.

NY Teams USYSA qualifying: NEW YORK TEAMS LOOKING TO QUALIFY FOR ENYYSA State Cup: ENYYSA requires NY teams play in a NY league to qualify for their ENYYSA State Cup. Our partnership with Long Island Junior Soccer League, Westchester Youth Soccer League and Cosmopolitan Junior Soccer League permits teams to qualify in a NY league in a MAPS flight and also register with our league for MAPS games. In addition to our league registration, Be sure to register in the appropriate league for you: Long Island Juniors Soccer LeagueWestchester Youth Soccer League or Cosmopolitan Junior Soccer League

NJYS ROSTERING for all other out of state teams: The NJYS requires any out of state team using our league for their USYSA state cup qualifying must purchase an out of state rostering affiliation.  Therefore, PA, DE, MD teams must follow the instructions for NJYS out of state rostering affiliation.  NJYS opens the Got Soccer event registration after August 1st.  NJYS charges a fee of $100 for the rostering affiliation. This is paid directly to NJYS by check or calling in a credit card.

NJYS out of state rostering affiliation requires a team to take all required steps for their rosters through their own state associations. Once the roster is completed and validated by your own USYSA state association, you follow the steps set forth by NJYS to affiliate your state roster with NJYS.

Some rostering information to remember when creating your USYSA state roster:

  • NJYS rules state that your state cup and league roster are one in the same – so what is permitted on your state cup roster will be your league roster and the only accepted roster for NJYS out of state affiliation
  • NJYS accepts U11 and U12 teams for either 8v8 play-meaning a 14 player roster max; or 11v11, with an 18 player roster max
  • NJYS permits U13 and older teams to roster up to 22 players on the active roster, but to dress no more than 18 for a game. The roster is limited to a total of 25 player slots for the seasonal year (8/1-8/1)
  • Out of state teams may not carry secondary carded players for out of state league play. Rules for secondary carding are limited to instate league play only.
  • The out of state roster affiliation must be completed PRIOR to the start of our league season. Failure to do so will result in your team not qualifying for your respective state cup and our games being recorded as forfeit wins for your opponents.

Step by step instructions for the out of state roster affiliation are found here: http://www.cjysa.org/gamedaynotes/432332.html

US CLUB SOCCER PASSES: Instructions for obtaining US CLUB passes may be found here.   Teams from outside New Jersey may card US Club Only and play a USCL only league schedule. Out of State teams shall follow the process for carding US Club Soccer.

To simplify our registration, U11-U14 11v11 format teams will register for one league event and have one league schedule. While the schedule will include both CJYSA and USCL games, CJYSA games will be designated by the league for all inflight games. All crossover matches or supplemental listed games are USCL games.

PAYMENT: PLEASE ANSWER ALL QUESTIONS on the application as accurately as possible. You are charged based upon the answer to the questions.   Out of State teams DO NOT purchase NJYS rostering. Out of State teams will register with NJYS directly for their out of state rostering.

Returning teams will be charged any outstanding forfeit fines or referee fees that may be due.  YOUR REGISTRATION FEE WILL NOT BE PROCESSED AND SENT TO YOUR CREDIT CARD COMPANY UNTIL THIS IS DONE. You will know its been done once your application is approved.
